MCHP pneumatic band saws consist of a housing with a handle, a pneumatic motor, a gearbox, and drive and idler pulleys.
The body of MCHP saws is made of 2 mm thick steel sheet with special reinforcements, fully galvanized and painted.
A versatile hand tool widely used in mining. Thanks to specially designed band teeth and high-quality materials, these saws can cut materials such as alloy steels, non-ferrous metals, rubber, and plastics.
Due to its design, it can be used safely in damp environments as well as in explosion-hazardous areas. In the mining industry, it is used to cut tunnel linings, scraper conveyor chains, rails, pins, pipes, hydraulic hoses, and cables.
The compressed-air-powered saw is a highly efficient tool that completely eliminates the need for cutting with gas torches. Its simple operation allows tasks that previously required welding qualifications to be performed after only brief employee training.
Commonly used both for workshop tasks and in shafts, e.g., for cutting the ends of SAG compensation ropes, bolts, profiles, etc.
The surfaces obtained as a result of cutting are smooth (they do not require leveling as after burning). Components are cut with high precision—to size, in a short time (cutting a typical rail takes 3 minutes).
Special bimetal bands with increased durability are used for the saw.
The saw is supplied with one cutting band as standard.
The device complies with the requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and is classified as Ex I M2.
