The DDM501 hydraulic drill from Mechanizacja is designed for use in mining workings where compressed air is not available.
The drill is suitable for operation with flame-retardant and non-flammable fluids.
This ergonomically designed tool is easy to use.
The tool contains no aluminum or light alloys, making it safe to operate, even in methane-bearing mines.
Adapting the tool for operation with oil-water emulsions allows it to be connected to hydraulic casings and other underground machines and equipment with hydraulic systems operating at 13 MPa or higher (using a pressure reducer kit).
The drill is equipped with two types of drill chucks: one for holding drill bits with diameters up to Ø 12 mm; the other with a No. 2 Morse taper for holding drill bits with diameters up to Ø 25 mm.
The tool is additionally equipped with a 100 μm filter, which prevents contaminants, soap compounds, and microorganisms from entering the device’s working system from the working medium.
The pressure-reducing and filtering kit, which includes a pressure-reducing valve, a check valve, a filter, and a short section of pressure-rated rubber hose, is an integral part of the delivery.
Continuous adjustment of the drill spindle speed is achieved using a special, adjustable valve built into the body
of the drill.
To protect the tool from damage resulting from improper connection of the pressure hose, a check valve (one-way valve) is built into the tool.
The device complies with the requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and is classified as Ex I M2.
